Glorious Stratton powder compact from about the 1950s. Black enamel in a gold tone base with a double heart embellishment made of rhinestones in the lid. When it opens there is a mirror in the underside of the lid and then a second cover over the powder portion. Some of the original powder remains, though not much. Stratton invented this self opening lid like this so this is pretty special in the world of compacts if you're a collector. Measures 2.75" in diameter. Stamped on the bottom with Stratton. The lady who's estate I got this from bought it in 1959 at the Fleet St. Flea Market in London. How wonderful!
Excellent vintage condition. Some minor wear and signs of age generally. And a few missing stones from the hearts.
Please note: This is a vintage, preworn and/or preloved item, and as such is one of a kind and not eligible for returns or refunds. I do my utmost best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected, and there are occasionally small things I won't deem worthy of note. Please feel free to send me a missive with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat.
