Vintage 1950s Shirtwaist Checked Dress With Pockets, Nelson-Caine

Very pretty black and white checked late 40s, early 1950s shirtwaist dress. I believe this is a rayon or something similar. Classic shirtwaist fabric covered buttons up the front, long, dolman, sleeves with cuffs. I've shown them both cuffed and uncuffed. Pockets at either hip. Label reads "Nelson-Caine" . About a medium, I'd say.

Good to Great vintage condition. This is still very wearable, no problem there. But it is showing signs of the life it's lived. There is some general all over discoloration, especially at edges, like cuff corners, the buttons, collar, and so forth and a couple marks elsewhere. The hem has been undone, I've chosen to leave it so one can hem it to the desired length. In addition there are a couple areas where the seams need to be restitched and some other minor repairs. But structurally it still has lots of life in it still, just needs a touch of tlc. Its not in bad enough shape to go into my Scratch and Dent section, but it is priced accordingly and as is.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 40" this is a dolman sleeve so there is some play here
Waist: 26"
Hips: full
Shoulder to waist: approx 14"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 40.5"
