Vintage 1950s Purple Cotton Velvet Dress

This is a stunning dress from the 1950s, perhaps earlier 1960s in the most glorious deep purple cotton velvet. Metal zipper up the back. Slight bullet shape to the bust. Long sleeves with three matching fabric covered buttons at each wrist. Scooped neckline in front and back. Loops for a belt but no belt. No label. Medium size I'd say.

Excellent vintage condition. The only thing I've found is that there an area of the zipper that is damaged. It is still zippable as you can see in the photos, but it may best to replace it. Priced accordingly.

Armpit to armpit across bust: 38"

Shoulder to waist: 15.5"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 41
