Vintage 1950s Ivory Wool Cardigan With Pockets

Gorgeous dark ivory colored wool cardigan sweater circa the 1950s, possibly earlier. Looks handmade and there are no labels. Pretty bone-like buttons up the front that appear to be an early plastic ( celluloid perhaps?). Perfect hip pockets and a gorgeous collar.
Excellent vintage condition. There is one dime sized hole at a cuff and what appears to be some pulled or loose stitches along the placket.

Measurements when lying flat.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 48" up to 60"
Waist: 40" to 52" there is no button at the waist and I'm not sure if there ever was one, so its fairly open here.
Shoulder to bottom hem: 22"
