Glorious 1920s green silk chiffon dress. She's a bit of a project but so much to love. Lets talk about the love parts first. First that color! Then there is that gold ribbon soutache and tulle trim down the left side of the bodice. Its so special. How about those flower petal layers of the skirt? Has long sleeves with little cuffs and a three layer dropped waistband of alternating green and gold chiffon. Down the bodice is a row of decorative buttons. Under that are hidden snaps. Large size, I'd say.
Label reads: none.
Fair to good vintage condition. The most obvious flaw is that obvious spot both on the front and back. It looks like a burn, perhaps from an iron? It has created a significant hole on both sides plus the brown scorch marks. It is my hope someone more clever than I can somehow find a way to stabilize this and perhaps hide it. Flower perhaps Or applique? Ill leave that to you. Otherwise there's reallly not much that you would not expect from a dress this age and fabric. There is some discoloration in various places, a pea sized hole on one shoulder in the back, a loose seam in an armpit and some wear to that pretty trim down the bodice, most of which is where the burn marks are. She is priced accordingly, would be three times this without the flaws and specifically the burn marks.
Measurements when lying flat:
